Help Desk Technician

Who We Are

We are a healthcare center that offers integrated medical care including obstetrics, midwifery, pediatrics, geriatrics, mental health counseling, social work, chronic disease case management, addictions recovery, nutritional services, and healthy living groups. Our dental site offers primary dentistry for all patients, ages 3 and up.

Job Summary

The Help Desk Technician is a member of the IT team that also includes the Director of Information Systems. The role supports the mission and values of Maple City Health Care Center (MCHCC) by ensuring that the technical systems infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively manages Help Desk tickets in a timely manner 
  • Responds to customer issues via phone, email and chat 
  • Runs diagnostics to resolve customer-reported issues 
  • Installs, makes changes, and repairs computer hardware and software 
  • Follows up with customers to ensure issues are resolved 
  • Other duties that support our shared work, as assigned

Required Skill and Abilities

  • A strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software 
  • Solid documentation and writing skills 
  • Good problem-solving, analytical, and team-working skills 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • An openness to learning new technologies 
  • Self-motivated critical thinker 
  • Commitment to work collaboratively within the organization 
  • Bilingual: Spanish/English preferred 
  • Effective interpersonal skills

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree or above preferred, experience in lieu of education accepted  
  • Minimum 2 years in IT industry preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform prolonged periods of time in front of a computer
