Job Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner with a focus area in OB/GYN care is a member of the cross-disciplinary team that includes health care providers, medical assistants, nurses, behavioral health providers and other support staff. The Nurse Practitioner supports the mission and values of Maple City Health Care Center (MCHCC) by providing primary care with a focus on obstetric and gynecological care to patients. The position may include call coverage.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides prenatal, postnatal, gynecological and newborn care to MCHCC patients
- Provides primary care for MCHCC patients
- Utilizes EMR in patient care
- Utilizes multiple resources for staff communication
- Facilitates bilingual Centering Pregnancy groups with the OB nurses
- Other duties that support our shared work, as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred, training supported
- Trauma Informed Care approach preferred; training supported
- Motivational Interviewing training preferred; training supported
- Effective interpersonal skills
Education and Experience:
- At least one year of OB/GYN experience required
- State of Indiana licensure to practice as a nurse practitioner (ex: RN, APRN, CSR)
- DEA registration
- Board certification (ex: AANP, ANCC)
- Collaborative practice agreement with MCHCC physicians
- BLS required
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift to 10 pounds
- Ability to perform prolonged or extensive standing and walking
- Ability to perform considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
- Ability to perform prolonged periods of time in front of a computer

Salary Range and Benefits
Salary is determined according to the Employee Salary and Wage Protocol, based on a range of factors including education, experience, responsibility, and language proficiency. The employee will receive comprehensive employee benefits package, based on FTE.
